Beginning in 2012, founded the popular Hands-On Hearing workshops that have spanned throughout the US and Canada. These engaging, interactive workshops are designed to educate and inform attendees about wireless hearing technology and connectivity options and how they can help them. I remain very active with the hearing loss community – providing counseling and support to adults, professionals, parents, and children.

My presentations were seen at numerous national conferences, professional workshops, schools and community venues, and virtual seminars. Serving the region’s families and children with hearing loss as its “Signing Santa” — communicating Christmas magic via American Sign Language and Spoken Language. During the months of November and December, Signing Santa appears at area venues/malls and local groups that serve this community.

In 2020, to overcome the challenges of the pandemic, my wife and I developed the virtual SantaChat where kids can continue their traditions with Santa through an online visit. For more information on Signing Santa, click here.

A music enthusiast (and a terrible singer), I have discovered a new passion/hobby as a local DJ. I began working at summer camps years ago providing a unique and immersive dance experience for children with hearing loss and their families.

My gigs feature a large projection wall, synchronized lighting, lyric videos of all songs that were played, and a variety of activities to keep the dances engaging and fun for all. Word quickly got around and my DJ events have now expanded to private parties, social events, and weddings.
